6. Amos Lawrence, North Carolina
From Day One, Lawrence was a stud for North Carolina; he ran for 1,211 yards and six touchdowns as a freshman, and never looked back. Lawrence finished his career with four consecutive 1,000-yard rushing seasons, finishing with 4,391 rushing yards (5.0 per carry), tops in UNC history, and 28 touchdowns.
During his four years in Chapel Hill, Lawrence posted 23 games of 100+ rushing yards, which still stands as a program record.
