Clemson adds commitment from 4-star WR Troy Stellato, jump to No. 2 in 2021 rankings

Wide receiver Troy Stellato is headed to Death Valley, Clemson continues to stay busy on the recruiting trail. On Friday, the Tigers landed a commitment from Stellato, a 4-star wideout from Florida and a top-100 prospect in the class of 2021.

247 Sports ranks the Fort Lauderdale native as the No. 13 receiver in the 2021 recruiting cycle. The 6-foot Stellato committed to Clemson over Ohio State; plenty of other power program were in the mix, too. Alabama, LSU, Georgia, Auburn, Florida — all of the usual institutions, among others. North Carolina and Mack Brown made a run at Stellato as well.

Stellato’s commitment also bumps Clemson up to No. 2 in the 2021 class rankings, per 247 Sports. Tennessee drops down to No. 3, just ahead of No. 4 USC and No. 5 UNC. Ohio State — with 19 commitments, including four 5-star recruits — tops the charts.

Clemson is now up to 14 2021 commits. Of that group, 12 are 4-star prospects. Stellato is the third commit in the group from the state of Florida; he joins offensive guard Marcus Tate and defensive end Cade Denhoff, both 4-star prospects.
