Pittsburgh’s 2020 recruiting class now sits at four — with the latest commitment from 3-star combo guard Femi Odukale. A rangy 6-foot-3 guard with defensive upside, Odukale played prep ball at Springfield (Mass.) Commonwealth Academy
Now a top-30 recruiting class, this quartet will be tasked with helping the program reach the NCAA Tournament for the first time since 2016 — when Jamie Dixon was still the coach. Before that, though, this group will need to gel with other key returnees. Pitt’s outlook for next season took a bit of a hit when Trey McGowens elected to enter the NCAA transfer portal; as the lone guard in this class, Odukale could factor into the mix.
Xavier Johnson will be the starting PG, Ithiel Horton will be the starting SG, and Femi Odukale will be a nice combo backup. Could use one more.
