Quarterback Kenny Pickett, following a marvelous 2021 season, will sit out of Pittsburgh’s bowl game matchup. Pitt is set to play Michigan State on Dec. 30 in the Chick-fil-A Peach Bowl. Pickett is one of the top quarterback prospects for the 2022 NFL Draft.
En route to the 2021 ACC championship, Pickett put together one of the best offensive seasons in ACC and Pitt history. The veteran quarterback completed 67.2 percent of his pass attempts; he also threw for 4,319 yards, 42 touchdowns and only seven interceptions.

Behind Pickett, Nick Patti is the most experienced reserve quarterback on Pitt’s roster. Patti completed 12-of-14 pass attempts this season — good for 140 yards.
