Miami’s Manny Diaz on the Turnover Chain: We weren’t the first to have a turnover prop, but we certainly have the best one

After losing in Week Zero to Florida, Miami goes on the road to Chapel Hill, looking for its first win of the 2019 season. Saturday night North Carolina hosts Miami — kickoff set for 8 p.m. Prior to that matchup, Miami head coach Manny Diaz joined The David Glenn Show.

Diaz, a rookie head coach, was the defensive coordinator at Miami for three seasons under Mark Richt (2016-18). A graduate of Florida State, Diaz was also an assistant coach at NC State for Chuck Amato, too (2000-05). The Hurricanes have won two straight games against the Tar Heels, including a 37-point beatdown last September. In those two games, Miami’s defense forced a combined 10 turnovers.

While on with David Glenn, Diaz the responsibilities of leadership, what he’s trying to add to the culture of Miami Football, his time at NC State, Jarren Williams at QB, the Turnover Chain and his relationship with Mack Brown.
