Boston College Football: 93 tests, 1 positive COVID-19 result

Boston College football players returned back to campus on June 22. Upon arrival, the players were to quarantine for 14 days and receive COVID-19 testing, according to a release from the school. The testing would take place after eight days of quarantine.

The results are in: 93 Boston College football players were tested — with only one positive result. That’s a positive rate of less than 1.1 percent.

It’s hard to scale these things at the moment; so much of this stuff is new information and data to analyze. However, just in terms of basic counting stats and division, this is a much lower rate than what we’ve seen at other programs around the country, including Clemson.
