New AP Top 25, 2 ACC teams land: Clemson remains at No. 1; Syracuse up to No. 21

Clemson defended its No. 1 spot atop the AP Top 25 Poll with a 38-point home victory over Georgia Tech. After a full week of college football action, here’s a look at the latest AP poll, which features just two ACC teams — again.

Syracuse moved up one spot to No. 21, following Saturday’s win over Liberty and bed-ridden Hugh Freeze.

While Virginia didn’t land inside the top 25, the Cavaliers are just outside of the group; UVA received 78 votes, the most of any team to name rank in the AP’s poll. Three other ACC teams received at least one vote, too: Miami (10), Boston College (1) and North Carolina (1).
