After an injury-plagued freshman season, New Jersey product Adonis Jennings will transfer from Pittsburgh. Jerry DiPaola of Trib Total Media reported the news late last Friday.
The Panthers had high hopes for Jennings, who was considered one of Pitt’s most talented 2014 commitments a year ago. Injuries caused a slow start to the season, though, and Jennings saw action in only six games. On the year, the freshman caught six passes for 55 yards. His lone start came against UNC when Manasseh Garner was out.
Before committing to Pitt in January of 2014, Jennings had been committed to Rutgers for nearly five months. Restrictions on his transfer are currently unknown.
