Bricen Garner has been committed to Pittsburgh since June 18, but that hasn’t stopped other schools from recruiting the 2016 safety. On Saturday, Garner announced via social media that he picked up an offer from Indiana.
The 6-1, 158-pound standout from Pittsburgh later posted on his personal Twitter account that his commitment status hadn’t changed.
“I am still a firm Pitt commit,” Garner said.
Pitt lost a commitment in early July when Tony Butler, who pledged to the Panthers in March, reopened his recruitment. Butler was originally the first player to commit to Pittsburgh this cycle.
Pat Narduzzi’s 2016 class currently stands at eight members.
