Thomas MacVittie became Pitt’s first 2016 pledge from the state of Ohio when he made his commitment in March, and the Panthers’ staff is now after another signal-caller from Cincinnati in hopes of filling a spot in their 2017 class. St. Xavier High School standout Sean Clifford picked up an offer from Pittsburgh a couple months ago, and he has already emerged as one of the coaching staff’s top rising junior targets.
Clifford was on a visit to Pitt when he landed the offer, and he liked what he saw while on campus.
