Pitt hires assistant to replace Rohrssen

Nearly two months after former Pittsburgh assistant Barry Rohrssen left the Panthers program to join Kentucky’s staff, Jamie Dixon has found a replacement. Marlon “Smoke” Williamson was hired this week to be an assistant at Pitt after spending the last two years in the same role at Massachusetts.

During Williamson’s time at UMass, the Minutemen went 45-21 and made the 2014 NCAA tournament. Prior to the 2012-13 season, the Youngstown State alum worked with The Family, an AAU program based in Detroit.
