Pittsburgh center Tyrone Haughton will transfer to another basketball program, Jamie Dixon announced this week. Haughton did not play in any games this season.
“We have been working to assist Tyrone in finding the best situation for him to reach his goals both academically and athletically,” Dixon said in a statement.
Haughton joined Pitt’s team prior to this season after playing two years at Iowa Western Community College. During his time at Iowa Western, he set a school record with 185 career blocked shots.
With Haughton’s departure, Joseph Uchebo and Michael Young are currently the only centers on the Panthers’ projected 2015-16 roster.
