Jordan Whitehead enrolled at Pittsburgh this summer as one of the most hyped freshmen in the ACC. After the safety collected conference rookie of the year honors on Tuesday, it’s safe to say he lived up to the lofty expectations.
Whitehead is the first defensive player to win overall ACC rookie of the year since North Carolina’s Dre’ Bly. A cornerback, Bly took home the award in 1996.
