Boston College was scheduled to play at Wake Forest this week. However, one day before that game, the BC program entered the COVID-19 protocol — with multiple players testing positive for the virus.
Initially, this resulted in a forfeit win for Wake Forest; for about 24 hours, the Demon Deacons were 2-0 in the ACC. That’s now been changed, though.
ACC athletic directors voted to rescind that forfeiture. Additionally, the league will now move to a “seven-and-one” rule for participation. Basically, a team must play if it has at least seven available players and one coach.
ACC commissioner Jim Phillips confirms to CBS Sports that Wake Forest's forfeit win vs. BC (which is on pause) is now taken off the books.

Currently, three ACC men’s basketball programs — Louisville, Syracuse and Boston College — are in the protocols.
