As expected, 4-star 2023 forward Sean Stewart has committed to Duke.
The 6-foot-8, 210-pound Stewart, who plays his prep ball for Windermere (Fla.) HS, ranks as a top-25 prospect in the 2023 class. Stewart received offers from several high-profile programs: Michigan, Ohio State, Georgetown and Alabama, among others. However, Duke, which offered Stewart back on Nov. 5, won out.

This brings Duke’s 2023 class up to two commits; the Blue Devils also have a pledge from 5-star point guard Caleb Foster, a top-10 overall prospect in the class. Foster, however, could reclassify to 2022.
Duke currently holds the No. 1 2022 recruiting class — the first group on soon-to-be head coach Jon Scheyer. The Blue devils hold four of the top-15 overall prospects for 2022: Dereck Lively, Dariq Whitehead, Kyle Filipowski and, most recently, Mark Mitchell.
Jaden Schutt, a 4-star shooting guard, and 3-star center Christian Reeves round out the 2022 group. It’s anticipated, though, that Reeves will redshirt; in a sense, he’ll be a bridge between the 2022 and 2023 classes.
Now, that same staff — including ace recruiter Nolan Smith — are building up a promising 2023 class, too.
