According to a release from Pitt basketball, head coach Jeff Capel has tested positive for COVID-19. Capel, in his third season with the program, won’t coach the team’s next game: Louisville, Dec. 22.
Further testing within the program produced no additional positive tests.
Pitt played most recently this week — a 15-point win at Miami on Wednesday. The Panthers wrap up 2020 with a road trip to Duke Tuesday, Dec. 29.
