This week’s AP Top 25 Poll reflects what’s been a strange season thus far in the ACC. Two new teams — NC State and Wake Forest — enter the poll, while Clemson slips 16 spots from No. 9 to No. 25.
-
- No. 23 NC State
- No. 24 Wake Forest
- No. 25 Clemson
Wake Forest (4-0) is the ACC’s only unbeaten team. The Demon Deacons already have two conference wins, too: free-falling Florida State and Virginia. Wake Forest has winnable games on the horizon. Louisville could be tough, but after the Cardinals, the Deacs have Syracuse, Army and Duke. When the calendar flips to November, though, Wake Forest will play North Carolina, NC State, Clemson and Boston College in the span of four weeks.
POLL ALERT: Clemson falls 16 spots to No. 25, snaps streak of 97 straight weeks in top 10; NC State enters at No. 23.
