Another ACC football team won’t play in its 2021 bowl game due to COVID-19 concerns: Miami pulled out of the 2021 Sun Bowl.
The Hurricanes were scheduled to play Washington State, which arrived in El Paso for the game on Sunday. The Sun Bowl is/was scheduled to take place on Friday, Dec. 31.
Miami has to withdraw from Sun Bowl because of COVID issues, bowl sources told @ActionNetworkHQ. It’s unknown if Sun Bowl can find a replacement to play Washington State, which arrived in El Paso earlier today

Obviously, this became an emerging concern last week; as cases of COVID-19 surged across the world, multiple Miami players tested positive for the virus.
Virginia and Boston College saw the 2021 season end, too, following the cancelations of the Fenway Bowl and the Military Bowl.
