Over last weekend, Jaheim Singletary, a 5-star cornerback in the 2022 recruiting class, decommitted from Ohio State. Singletary ranks as a top-15 prospect overall in the 2022 class, according to 247 Sports and ESPN.
With the 6-foot-1, 170-pound defensive back re-opening his recruitment, two programs have emerged: Georgia and Miami.

A native of Jacksonville, Singletary would be a big-time get for Miami. Currently, the Hurricanes have the No. 46 class in the country, per 247 Sports; however, that has more to do with with the volume of commitments. Miami only has eight commits for 2022, on the books.
Within that group of eight, though, two are top-100 prospects: 4-star cornerback Khamauri Rogers and Trequon Fegans, another 4-star corner.
The in-state addition of Singletary would not only headline Miami’s 2022 group, but it would also give Manny Diaz a monster trio of cornerbacks in one class.
