Miami basketball lands commitment from 4-star guard Isaiah Wong

According to a report from 247 Sports, Miami basketball has its first 2019 commitment: 4-star combo guard Isaiah Wong.

Wong, who plays his prep ball at Trenton (N.J.) Monsignor Bonner, is a top-75 prospect. The 6-foot-2 guard picked the Hurricanes over ACC rivals Clemson and Pittsburgh — along with UConn and Villanova.

Assistant coach Adam Fisher led Wong’s recruitment for Jim Larranaga and Miami. Fisher, who hails from Pennsylvania (not too far from Trenton), was instrumental in the recruitment of former 5-star stud Lonnie Walker, now with the San Antonio Spurs.
