Jaiden Woodbey opts out; former 5-star LB will enter transfer portal

A bizarre and challenging season continues to unfold for Florida State football and first-year coach Mike Norvell. Jaiden Woodbey, one of the program’s top talents, will opt out of the 2020 season and look to transfer. Woodbey made the announcement on his Twitter account.

As a redshirt sophomore, Woodbey appeared in eight games this season; Woodbey accounted for 28 total tackles and one pass breakup.

During his career at FSU, Woodbey started 22 games — while recording 103 total tackles and 7.5 tackles for loss. Woodbey arrived in 2018, one of the marquee signees of Willie Taggart’s first recruiting class.
