Baba Miller, Florida State

Following John Butler’s decision to remain in the 2022 NBA Draft, Florida State shifted its priorities to Baba Miller, the top international prospect in the 2022 recruiting cycle.

Miller grow to be 6-foot-11 (with a 7-foot-2 wingspan), but he worked at an early age to develop guard skills. He can play with the ball, get downhill and get into gaps for off-dribble finishes. Plus, with his handles and long strides, Miller eats up space in transition — flying to the rim ahead of a set defense.

Miller, with his rangy wingspan, can really finish around the basket, too. This package of skills include non-dunk finishes as well. The off-ball movement and cut finishes will blend nicely with the rest of the cast at Florida State, a program that loves taking talent and weirdness and running it through its player development program.

With Miller in Tallahassee, Florida State looks like a dangerous team, one that’s ready to return to the national scene. Matthew Cleveland, a promising defender and a monster finisher in transition, returns along the wing. Jalen Warley is ready to take a step as a playmaker. Caleb Mills is back to provide the backcourt with some funky shot-making.

Florida State also added veteran transfer Darin Green Jr., a talented movement shooter and 3-point sniper from Central Florida.
