Pittsburgh picked up its first commitment of the Kevin Stallings era on Sunday when 2017 point guard Aaron Thompson pledged to the Panthers. The rising senior visited Pitt this weekend.
A native of Fairfax, Virginia, Thompson attends Paul VI Catholic — the same school that produced 2016 Pitt signee Corey Manigault.
Thompson is the first player in the 2017 class to commit to Pittsburgh. He is a consensus 3-star recruit.
