It’s a huge need for the Panthers as Pitt hadn’t signed a true tight end in the time since Pat Narduzzi arrived in the Steel City near the conclusion of the 2015 recruiting cycle. The team is also preparing for the loss of its top two current tight ends after 2016.
Fortunately for the Panthers, everything came together on Thursday. Pitt added not one, but two tight ends who had each received recent offers from the coaching staff. One of those players was previously committed to another program.
