From satellite camps to coaches climbing trees to mothers intercepting letters of intent, hardly anything is normal about college football recruiting today.
Through all the chaos, everyone involved has to keep a sense of humor in order to maintain sanity, and that’s exactly what 2017 defensive end Logan Rudolph was doing on Friday when he announced his college decision.
In a simple — but outstanding — video, Rudolph revealed his choice on Twitter:

It’s tough to decide what’s the best part of the 14-second clip. A 6-3, 228-pound dude wearing short shorts? The Kenny Loggins playing in the background? Or is it just the fact that he’s chopping down a tree?
Regardless, Rudolph should fit in well at Clemson, where head coach Dabo Swinney encourages his players to have fun and enjoy the moment.
It’s also not a bad pickup for the Tigers. A native of Rock Hill, South Carolina, Rudolph is considered the No. 4 rising senior in his state according to 247Sports’ composite rankings. He joins a Clemson class that is ranked No. 5 nationally by the same service.
