It’s been just two months since Mike Elko was hired as the head football coach at Duke, but a lot has transpired. Elko, spent the last four seasons as the defensive coordinator for Texas A&M (2018-21), put together a staff and hit the ground running with recruiting.
Our 2022 schedule is set.

Before Texas A&M, Elko spent the 2017 season as Notre Dame’s defensive coordinator. Prior to his short stint in South Bend, Elko worked with Dave Clawson for 12 years, including Clawson’s first three years at Wake Forest (2014-16).
Now, Elko is getting his first shot to be a head coach in college; it’ll come in a Power Five league, too. With the spring season on the horizon, Elko joins Josh Graham to discuss the transition, his work with Clawson and a whole bunch more.
