Pittsburgh athletic director Scott Barnes faces the task of hiring a new basketball coach following the news that 13-year head man Jamie Dixon will be leaving the Panthers to fill the coaching vacancy at TCU.
Dixon had spent the last 17 years at Pitt, including four as an assistant under Ben Howland from 1999-2003. For the first time since joining the ACC, however, the program will have a new leader next season.
