2 ACC Teams in the running for 4-star Brandin Podziemski

Brandin Podziemski, a 4-star shooting guard in the 2021 recruiting class, has narrowed his list of schools to five. Two ACC programs remain included in that group: Wake Forest and Miami. The other three team in Podziemski’s top five are Kentucky, Illinois and Vanderbilt, coached by Jerry Stackhouse.

The Wisconsin native stands 6-foot-5; 247 Sports ranks Podziemski, a lefty, as the No. 72 overall prospect in the 2021 class.

During his senior season, Podziemski has averaged 35 points (61 FG%), 10.4 rebounds and 5.7 assists per game, while shooting 43 percent on his 3-point attempts, according to Max Preps

Wake Forest already has two other 2021 commitments — both on the wing. 3-star Cameron Hildreth and Robert McCray committed to Wake Forest last summer/fall. Carter Whitt was initially set to be a member of this class, too; however, he re-classified and joined the program midseason.

Miami, on the other hand, has a 3-man 2021 class, currently. Jakai Robinson and Nisine Poplar have already signed with the Hurricanes. Bensley Joseph, a 4-star point, is committed but remains unsigned.
