Top 2016 defensive tackle talks Miami Visit

The Miami Hurricanes have had a bumpy ride in the recruiting world over the past few years under Al Golden.

Whether it is a prospect committing or de-committing, Miami has seen a little bit of it all. Golden and the Canes have put together what is widely considered one of America’s top 2016 classes, but it hasn’t come without considerable drama.

Even with the recent losses of local running back Amir Rasul of Coral Gables in a switch to Florida State and Fort Pierce, Florida linebacker Greg Simmons to Nebraska, as well as a decommitment from Pahokee, Florida running back MrArthur Burnett and multiple 2017 prospects during the summer months, Miami stood at No. 8 in the Rivals.com, No. 10 in the 247Sports and No. 11 in the Scout.com national team rankings for the 2016 class as of August 7.

More good news for Miami is that one of the top defensive tackles in the nation has set a visit date to check out the Hurricanes, so certainly the UM coaching staff is hopeful they can reel him in when he arrives in Coral Gables.[hr]
