It’s a new era in recruiting.
The first Wednesday in February, formerly known and hyped up as National Signing Day, is now just the start of the late, or traditional, signing period. The real action comes from Dec. 20-22, when about three quarters of the nation’s four- and five-star prospects signed binding letters of intent.
While colleges scrap over the remaining leftovers for 2018 – nine of 247Sports’ top 50 recruits remain uncommitted – most of their work for this cycle is done. That means it’s a good time to look ahead to 2019.
