Signing day for the 2017 recruiting class is still nearly a year away, but Miami is already adding early pieces to its 2018 group. The Hurricanes landed their newest member in that class on Tuesday.
Gilbert Frierson is a 6-1, 180-pound cornerback who attends Coral Gables Senior High School. According to Rivals.com, the 2018 standout attended Miami’s junior day over the weekend. Just a couple days later, he pledged to the Canes:
After discussing it with my family, I am committing to the University of Miami 🙌🏈 #Canegang #Storm18 #Gocanes pic.twitter.com/x54uQuToTa
