It’s one of Christy Cabrera Chirinos’ favorite quotes of the spring. The Fort Lauderdale Sun-Sentinel Miami beat reporter talked about what offensive line coach Stacy Searels said recently.
“Tell every tackle in America, if he wants to play, come to Miami,” Searels said. “We need them. We need more tackles. We definitely need more tackles. You can always take tackles. They play inside when they’re young and they move outside. Or I’ve had a lot of guys that come in as true freshmen and play at tackle. We like the long tackle bodies that can play multiple positions.”
While he may not be able to help Miami until 2017, Zach Dykstra is what the Hurricanes will need more of in the future. He’s 6-6, 290 pounds, which means he’ll get bigger.
