South Carolina sophomore QB emerging as top ACC target

There is no doubt that the ACC has had its fair share of top quarterbacks over the decades, coming from all parts of the country. And with the annual recruiting cycle stretching far beyond senior and even junior targets these days, quite a few programs around the league are already setting their eyes on top quarterbacks in the 2018 class.

Dakereon Joyner, a 6-1, 173-pound multi-purpose athlete from Fort Dorchester High School in North Charleston, South Carolina, has already been hearing from multiple college programs, and has earned a few offers from programs in the ACC and the SEC. Joyner holds offers from Clemson, Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina, and Tennessee, while also hearing from Auburn, Alabama, Louisville, and NC State.

Most college programs see this talented prospect playing quarterback at the next level, but Joyner could see time at other positions with his natural ability. Clemson and North Carolina both have him tagged as a signal-caller, and he has some early interest in both of these schools and what they have to offer.[hr]
