Report: Hall transferring to Northern Iowa for football

Former Clemson point guard Rod Hall is out of eligibility for basketball, but he’s not done playing college sports just yet. On Wednesday, TheClemsonInsider.com reported that Hall is transferring to Northern Iowa to play wide receiver on the football team. He will have one year of eligibility with the Panthers as a graduate transfer.

Hall started every game on the hardwood in his last two years with the Tigers, and he started in 106 of his 129 career games. As a senior, he averaged 9.2 points per game and led the team in assists with 106.

Before arriving at Clemson, Hall earned All-State honors as a receiver at Laney High School in Augusta, Georgia. Following his final basketball season with the Tigers, he was reportedly contacted by multiple NFL franchises but went undrafted during May’s NFL Draft.
