Clemson tight end Sam Cooper will see his first game action of the season this Saturday against NC State, the school announced Wednesday. The senior missed the first four games of the season after fracturing his fibula during warmups before the Tigers’ season opener at Georgia.
Clemson announced the news via Twitter:

With Cooper’s return, the team will have its most physical tight end in the lineup against the Wolfpack. Cooper has caught 17 passes for 161 yards and three touchdowns in his career in Death Valley.
While the 6-6, 245-pounder’s return is a positive sign for Dabo Swinney’s team, offensive tackle Joe Gore will be out the next two weeks after his appendix was removed on Wednesday. Gore has started three games this season but was slated to play in a backup role against the Pack.
