Hoops Recruiting Board — Clemson

Clemson, which recently lost a scholarship transfer, will be hard at work in the coming months in its efforts to put together a solid 2016 signing class.

A Look Ahead: 2015-2016 Season and 2016 Class [hr]

The Tigers are losing Patrick Rooks to a transfer, which opens up another scholarship for 2015-2016 should Brad Brownell and his coaches decide to add another newcomer. At this time the Tigers have two incoming players for next season — point guard Ty Hudson and JUCO big man Legend Robertin. Hudson will have a great opportunity to come in and play right away for the Tigers next season — perhaps replacing Rod Hall as the program’s point guard of the future – while Robertin is a raw big man with solid upside. Robertin may need some time to adjust to the caliber of talent he’ll be facing in the ACC, but the 7-0, 245-pound center proved himself at Chipola Junior College in Florida, where he earned numerous high-major scholarship offers. The Tigers are not yet on the board with a commitment in the class of 2016, but they’ve already offered numerous Southeastern standouts, and could be offering even more in the coming weeks with the start of the April open recruiting period. Brownell and his staff will be out in full force in the coming weeks, evaluating and perhaps offering new scholarships.
