Dabo Swinney added to his already stellar recruiting class on Friday when 2015 wide receiver Deon Cain announced that he’s going to Clemson. Cain selected the Tigers during a press conference held at Tampa Bay Tech High School. Excluding grayshirts, he is the 16th player to join the program’s 2015 class.
According to 247Sports.com, Cain held offers from numerous schools, including Alabama, Auburn, Florida State, LSU and Ohio State. He is a consensus 4-star prospect.
Although Cain projects as a receiver at the college level, he plays quarterback in high school. As a junior, he completed 120 of 245 passes for 1,945 yards and 13 touchdowns with seven interceptions. Cain also ran the ball 143 times for 731 yards, finding the end zone four times on the ground.
