The Clemson Tigers are coming off three consecutive seasons of 10 or more wins, and they’re hoping to keep that streak alive this season with a new face behind center. Cole Stoudt is the next man up for Dabo Swinney’s team and will look to keep things rolling in Death Valley.
Recently, Stoudt made an appearance on The David Glenn Show to discuss several topics, and one thing he talked about was why he never thought about transferring during his three years as a backup behind star quarterback Tajh Boyd. While his love for Clemson played a major role, his relationship with Swinney was also a factor.
“Coach Swinney has been everything you can possibly ask for and more in a head coach,” Stoudt said. The signal-caller said that it was important to know “that [Swinney’s] values and his religious beliefs are very strong, and the first thing that he wants is you to graduate from college.”
Stoudt also had positive things to say about offensive coordinator Chad Morris, defensive end Vic Beasley and even his own hair. Click below to hear the full interview:
