Isaiah Battle won’t be returning to Clemson for his senior season, but that doesn’t mean he won’t be playing football this fall. On Thursday, the St. Louis Rams selected the offensive tackle in the fifth round of the 2015 NFL Supplemental Draft. He was the only player taken in the draft.
Battle’s career ended last month when Clemson announced he would be entering the Supplemental Draft. The news came weeks after Battle was cited for possession of marijuana during a traffic stop. In a statement released by the school, Battle also said he would be having a child later this summer.
During his career with the Tigers, Battle started 15 games. Coming out of the spring, he was listed as the starting left tackle on the team’s depth chart.
