Will Boston College rely on Flutie or Smith at QB?

Boston College suffered a tremendous blow in the fourth quarter of its 14-0 shutout loss to Florida State in Chestnut Hill Sept. 17, as sophomore quarterback Darius Wade broke his left ankle and was ruled out for the remainder of the 2015 season.

With Wade out for the year, the reins at quarterback for the Eagles falls to a pair of inexperienced freshmen — Troy Flutie and Jeff Smith. Will the Eagles wind up going with Flutie, the BC legacy who was Mr. Massachusetts on the gridiron his senior year at nearby Natick High School, or Smith, a gifted newcomer from Clearwater, Florida?
