West Roxbury, Massachusetts senior Curt Bletzer became the latest class of 2016 prospect to pledge to Boston College, as he committed to the Eagles on August 10. Bletzer had previously earned scholarship offers from Harvard in the Ivy League, along with some Northeastern FCS schools such as Maine, but he quickly accepted when the Eagles came calling.
“I couldn’t believe it when they (Boston College) offered — I was so excited to get it,” said Bletzer to Dan Ventura of the Boston Herald. “I always dreamed being able to go there.”
Bletzer’s older brother, Kevin Bletzer, is a redshirt freshman on the current Boston College squad who is looking to earn playing time at outside linebacker and on special teams this summer in training camp. Curt told the Boston Herald, “I think having Kevin there is a huge factor for me. I feel like I will have a leg up going there because I’ll have a better idea of what to expect from Kevin.”[hr] Get access to the rest of this article and unlimited access to the rest of ACCSports.com when you upgrade to Premium Access!
