Eagles gear up for 2015 with largely untested offensive line

Boston College has one of the youngest offensive lines in the entire ACC heading into the upcoming season. The Eagles had a resurgent 2014 season that saw them reach a bowl game — done so largely on the shoulders of a veteran offensive line that featured five seniors in the starting lineup at different points in the year.

Center Andy Gallik, guards Aaron Kramer and Bobby Vardaro, as well as tackles Ian Silberman and Seth Betancourt, have all moved on. Naturally, that has left quite a gap for Steve Addazio and his coaches to fill this summer in training camp in Chestnut Hill.

But the fortunate thing from Addazio’s perspective is that he feels like the Eagles have the bodies in place. They just have to get them seasoning, which will come soon enough with the Sept. 5 season opener against Maine.[hr]
