Boston College coach Steve Addazio has his eyes set on two quarterback recruits for the 2015 class.
The Eagles’ top choice at quarterback is Brandon Wimbush, a four-star prospect from Jersey City, N.J. But while Boston College was high on Wimbush’s list at the start of his recruitment, it appears other schools are starting to take over at the top.
Wimbush recently told Rivals that he’s seriously considering Miami, and Ohio State and Penn State are also strong players in his recruitment. Despite those schools drawing his interest lately, Boston College is still a possible destination for Wimbush.
Should things fall through with Wimbush, Addazio would likely move on three-star quarterback Quentin Harris from Watertown, Conn. Harris is more in the dual-threat mold than Wimbush, and he would follow Darius Wade as the second mobile quarterback to join the Eagles in two years.
Harris is also considering Duke, but he’s in the process of planning his fifth visit to Boston College. Common sentiment is that if Addazio pushed for a commitment, Harris would jump on board.
