Randy Russell’s commitment to Miami a few months back was a bit of a surprise, given his high degree of interest in another in-state program. So his decommitment last week was hardly a shock. It won’t be a stunner, either, if he winds up signing with his favorite team, the Florida Gators.
The Hurricanes are looking at several options to replace the Miami-Carol City High safety, a three-star recruit. They have four defensive backs committed and are looking for six or seven in the recruiting class.
