Wake Forest head coach Dave Clawson delivered some tough news this week: three key players will miss the 2021 season due to offseason injuries.
Donavon Greene, a promising young wide receiver, tops the list; however, offensive tackle Je’Vionte Nash and linebacker Chase Monroe are strong performers, too.

During the 2020 season, Greene (as a redshirt freshman) recorded 582 receiving yards on 29 receptions. His best outing came during the team’s shootout at UNC: Greene caught eight passes for 170 yards (21.25 yards per catch) and two touchdowns.
Greene, a key deep-ball target for Sam Hartman, was set to team up with Jaquarii Roberson as one of the top wide receiver duos in the country.
Nash started nine games in the 2020 season at right tackle; it’s obviously never good to lose depth along the offensive line, especially at the tackle positions.
During the 2020 season, Monroe recorded 19 tackles, including two for loss.
