The hits keep on coming: Wednesday’s matchup (Dec. 29) between UNC and Virginia Tech has been postponed. This result comes as a result of COVID-19 concerns within the Virginia Tech program.
Earlier on Monday morning, this week’s Duke-Clemson game, which was also scheduled for Dec. 29, was postponed due to COVID cases in Duke’s program.
Virginia Tech’s game against North Carolina is postponed on Wednesday due to COVID issues within Hokies program.
That’s the third ACC game scrapped for Wednesday:
Duke at Clemson
FSU at BC
Virginia Tech at UNC— Jeff Goodman (@GoodmanHoops) December 27, 2021
Florida State and Boston College game is also postponed due to a COVID pause for the BC program.
North Carolina last played on Dec. 21: a 20-point home win over Appalachian State. The next game on UNC’s schedule is Jan. 1 vs. Boston College — for now. That could change, too, obviously.
Virginia Tech last played on Dec. 22: a road loss to Duke. The next game on the schedule, currently, for the Hokies is a home matchup with Pittsburgh on Jan. 1.
