UNC signee Dontrez Styles injured in Friday’s game

Dontrez Styles — the top 2021 prospect in the state of North Carolina, and a UNC basketball signee — suffered a scary fall during his game Friday night.

During the early stages of Kinston High’s game vs. South Lenoir, Styles jumped to catch a lob pass; however, he was undercut in the air. Styles was fitted for a neck brace by first responders. Styles was taken to the hospital for further evaluation, though he was able to leave the court on his own power.

Back in April 2020, Styles committed to UNC; he picked the Tar Heels over offers from NC State, Clemson, Maryland and Pittsburgh. Styles signed with North Carolina in November.

After initial concern started to spill out on Twitter, Styles to the social media to alert the masses that he was doing just fine, thankfully.
