UNC signs 4-stars Dontrez Styles & D’Marco Dunn, top 2 in-state prospects

UNC Basketball completed an easy, straightforward National Signing Day. As expected, Dontrez Styles and D’Marco Dunn signed with the Tar Heels.

Roy Williams and North Carolina have missed on some of their top 2021 targets; however, Styles and Dunn are a solid in-state mix. In fact, Styles and Dunn are the top two prospects in the state of North Carolina, per 247 Sports. Both are 4-star prospects.

The 6-foot-6, 205-pound Styles pledged back in April; he’s the first prospect ranked No. 1 in North Carolina to commit to UNC since Theo Pinson in 2014. Styles, who hails from Kinston, picked UNC over offers from NC State, Clemson, Maryland and Pittsburgh.

Dunn, a 6-foot-4 shooting guard from Fayetteville, is a more recent addition to the UNC family. Dunn committed to the Tar Heels in late September — against offers from Louisville, Arizona, Texas, Clemson, Georgia and Vanderbilt.
