Following a positive COVID-19 test result, Duke basketball abruptly pulled out of the 2021 ACC Tournament. After the decision, Duke released several statements, including one from AD Kevin White, and announced that their 2020-21 season was done.
That, however, appears to be slightly premature. According to a report from ESPN’s Rece Davis on College GameDay, Duke could still play in the NCAA Tournament, though the odds are incredibly low. Duke will remain in the pool as a potential at-large team or a COVID-replacement team.
FWIW Rece Davis just now on GameDay:
“College GameDay has learned in the unlikely event that the Blue Devils were selected they would play. And also, it’s pretty unlikely they’d be a replacement team, but if they are they too would serve if necessary in that situation.”

Duke is 13-11 (9-9 ACC) after the wins in Greensboro over Boston College and Louisville. The Blue Devils currently rank 49th in the NET.
