As Duke looks to rebound for last Saturday’s home loss vs. Miami, the Blue Devils will be without head coach Mike Krzyzewski at Wake Forest on Wednesday.
According to a tweet from the official Duke Basketball account, Coach K will be out due to a non-COVID 19 related virus.
Jon Scheyer will serve as the team’s acting head coach.

This marks the the third time in the last few years that Krzyzewski has missed a Duke-Wake Forest game. Back in 2017, then associate head coach Jeff Capel filled in for Coach K — with Duke winning in Winston-Salem.
During the 2020-21 season, Scheyer held court for Coach K when Duke defeated Wake Forest in Durham, too.
